I'm a 35 year-old professional (I feel like I'm starting a resume or cover letter!) looking to shake off the weight I've gained in the past nearly 10 years -- emotionally and physically. Since 2007, I have tried to convince myself that I don't need to be thin to "do things" -- and for the most part I've found it to be true; I think we can do anything we want, at any size. However, what I've discovered for myself is that I want to do all of those things with more ease, and with less time spent convincing myself that I can do them. On top of that, I want to be more active with my nieces and nephew, and just feel more free than I do now. Not twelve hours after I signed up with My Fitness Pal, someone posted a picture of me from when I was 18 ... and thought I was fat. One of my biggest goals is not to look back at when I was 35 and think, "I thought I was fat." Looking for positive support and accountability here! Can't wait to explore this site more and move forward in an amazing new direction.
