Question for P90X users

Due to an injury my left elbow is not what it used to be. The Army has said I can not do pushup and can not lift heavy. I do push ups occasionally, but not many and my form sucks. I can curl light weight and do over head tricep extensions, etc.

The question is with some limitations like this, would I be able to do enough of the exercises to make it worth my while, or should I look else where for my workout?

Thanks!

the chest and back disc is ALL pushups and pullups. There are modifications for the pull ups. You could do "wall" push ups instead? Pretty sure you could still do all the other discs, though some of the yoga moves may be a little tough.

For the chest days, I beleive 100% of the sets are variations of push-ups, so it may be difficult to get the most out of the program, that being said you can always do all the other stuff, and as much as the push movements as you can handle.

I struggled with a knee injury upon starting P90X. I really wanted to complete the program therefore modified certain moves in order to do so. The important thing is to DO SOMETHING! Even if you use lighter weights or modify certain moves due to your injury, you are exercising and that is what counts. You will see results... it will just take longer to attain them.

Chest and Back is pretty much 100% chin up and push ups. However, this does not mean there aren't modifications, such as the brands used to modify to do chin ups. However, even if you didn't use that DVD and found out other ways to do chest and back, I believe the program is definitely still worth it.

Thanks for all the input. If I can not do it, its not a big deal. I am making great progress with my current plan. I was just looking to change things up a little. So I make look else where to find a workout to help give my exercise so variety!

Thanks again for all the input. I love this site!
