Metabolic Testing

Has anyone had this done? I am considering getting my metabolic rate tested, but I am not sure if it is worth it. They say they can give you give you an accurate number for your resting metabolic rate. I have been doing a new exercise plan lately (last 3 months) that includes more weight lifting and more cardio... typically spending 7 to 9 hours a week exercising. However, I have not seen a difference in my body, I have increased strength and endurance. But no real inches lost, or lbs lots. So, I am curious if I am maybe overestimating my daily calorie needs or if I am underestimating them thus not allowing any weight loss. Just wondering if any of you have had any success with having this tested. Thanks!
