recommended calorie intake...Question...

my daughter started tracking with this application and it recommends she start at 2020 calories per day... we chose to knock that back to 1400, but is that wise if she's feeling hungry all the time? will she potentially lose faster if she 'minds' the higher calorie intake until she reaches a certain point?
does myfitnesspal automatically tell you when its time to reduce calorie intake???
thanks for any thoughts on this...

When it recommended 2020, how much weight loss was that? How heavy is she now?
  • I was 220. I'm 215 now.

Depends on her age, height, weight, body fat% and activity level.

Have her check her numbers against the link in my profile and see if they are similar.
