Glucometers, Most Reliable??

Anyoine here test there blood sugar??? Do you have a brand that you are having great results with??

I have used both the One Touch Ultra, and One touch Select and I am frustrated because the precision stinks. I can test my sugar 4X within the same 2 minutes and get 4 toally different numbers. And I don't mean like 101, 103, 102, 103....I mean like 96, 124, 110, 116...which number do I believe???

I have contacted the MFG an all I get is a blanket E-Mail that the meter is made to the FDA standard of +/- 20%.....So that a number 96 is the low and 124 is the high, the average is 110...so that means the meter is reading +/- 12.7% so its good!

To me readings that jump around like that is not giving me enough reason to stick my finger and pay for test strips.

Any wisdom???
