Help! I'm always hungry

So I saw a nutritionist yesterday and was told I could stand to lose about 10lbs (not news to me), which she gave me 2 months to do. Her recommendation to me, after hearing about my meals for the past few days, was to eat more vegetables and try to keep my meals to about 400 calories each.

So far I've done that today, with about 160 calories in snacks (a banana, and baby carrots with hummus). I know this is what's best for me but here's the thing...I've been HUNGRY MOST OF THE DAY! That is not conducive to me sticking to this new meal plan. Also, I plan to do 30 minutes of cardio later today (intervals with 15 minutes walking and 15 minutes running), which I also did yesterday.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to feel fuller? I've been reading food and fitness blogs but so far the suggestions don't seem to be helpful. Has anyone else gone thru this? If so, how did you deal?

Probably will take a few days to adjust. drink lots of H2O. I am in the same boat. Some days I m hungrier than others. Most days I stay within my calorie range. Tonight I am going to have 2-3 slices of cheese pizza. Will make me go over about 200 cal for the day. Oh well, gotta move on.

If you are just starting out it might be like that for a little while. My husband and I have found that the longer we do this the easier it gets. It truly is a lifestyle change. I eat oatmeal a lot of mornings and it keeps me full for quite a while. I would recommed high fiber foods. Good luck!
  • Make sure you're getting in your veggies, protein and healthy fats! Those are the things that will fill you up. You can eat all day long and not get full if you are not getting in enough nutrients.
