Hi all. I dd the 30 day Shred and lost about 9 pounds and definitely a few inches. Then i went straight to cardio on my elliptical. Thats all ive been doing but i know its not enough. Without having to watch another dvd what arebsome really good strength training exercises i could do at home? Wuld it be best if i joined the gym for strength training. Ive seen a lot of before and after pics of people who just do cardio and those who strength train. I definitely want a strength trained body!!! What suggestions do u all have for a workout routine?

Research, research, and research...plenty of strength training/circuit training videos you can look at on youtube just to get started.
There are various sites online that have routines planned fit to your goal. Ex: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan-muscle-building-2039-female.html
Remember that your body is different then everyone else's, don't get hooked on to opinionated products/trainers/guides who just want you to waste your money. Do the research yourself and don't be afraid to ask anyone for tips.

I know you said no video, but this is a quick demo run-through. you don't have to watch it to do the workout, just watch it once and write or print out the steps.
it's good routine for home: using just body weight, and preferably a chin up bar, but if you don't have one, the guy demonstrates how to use your table. scroll down to subsequent video.

if it's too hard there is a Beginner's workout too, but that one is really easy; I just coached my 10-year-old and his friend through it today.

Thanks for introducing me to the NerdFitness site. I haven't done any type of strength training in YEARS. I love the idea of starting with one's own body weight.0

I go to the YMCA for most of my classes and they have circuit strength and circuit mix classes that will kick your butt. I love them! If you are looking for something on your own, create circuits of your own for an hour work out
Example:
50 jumping jacks
50 push ups
50 lunges
50 reverse crunches
this would be one circuit, but you would do these 3-4 times each then move on to the next circuit.
you can create these with adding in dumbells, etc.
Friend me if you need any other tips, suggestions, or ideas. I have tons!
