Workout question...

so I have been doing good and been able to do about four to five miles a day. The only think is I have been splitting it up into three walks/ jogs. I am trying to work myself up to running. I was wondering how much better or if it was to do all five miles at once or is it good with me splitting it up. I am trying to use my time wisely during the day but it still makes me wonder... If I would burn more calories or if it was better to do them all together..

I've heard that doing intervals of harder-paced then lowered pace intervals of cardio is better (for some machines the "weight-loss" option has you do intervals). So I guess that might be better, but you would potentially need to start running, as in run-jog-run-jog-run, etc.
For me and my running, however, I just started off small and worked my way up. A year ago I would do .5 miles. Now I do 2.5 + elliptical.
Hope that helps. Good luck!0
