I started on my MFP 4 weeks ago and everything was going great! 1st week lost 1 pound second week lost 1 pound 3rd week lost 2 pounds......that was good! Yesterday i weighed myself and i never lost any weight but today was my correct weighing in day and the scales told me that i have put 4 pounds on!!!!! That is all the weight that i have lost over the past 4 weeks back on! :explode: :grumble: To make it worse last week i started to walk every day for 60 mins a day thinking it would help speed up the weight loss! The site recommended that my caloruie allowance is just over 1500 cals (cant remember the exact figure!). With this allowance i am supposed to lose a pound per week. The exersise calories i am eating as advised. I dont really know what i am doing wrong.Could anyone shed a light as to what im doing wrong? I really need to lose this weight for health reasons
Sorry it has been a long winded story:smile: Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

I found that when I first started I gained back a bunch of wait. I adjusted my normal fitness level in my profile and when I go out for walks at lunch I don't add those calories back in. I only add fitness calories when I do intense cardio like running.

    Good Luck.

1st of all: muscle weighs more than fat so that could be a cause of weight gain

2nd of all: maybe your body needs you to change things up in order to continue losing. I started losing a lot every week, then all of a sudden slowed down. So what I did was threw in another day of a completely different kind of exercise.

3rd of all: have you consulted your dr. regarding your exercise/diet plan? Maybe since you have a lot of weight to lose you need to alter what MFP recommends and not eat back ALL of your calories. I would however not advice you to do so until you consult your dr.

4th of all: I don't know you or anything about you but I'm willing to bet my house that you didn't put all of your excess weight on in 4 weeks, so give it time! And stay at it! YOU CAN DO IT!

It could very well be a fluke weigh in... they happen all the time. Sometimes they make us look like we've lost more weight than we have, and sometimes, they go in the other direction. Just take a deep breath, relax, and move on. You might want to weigh yourself again tomorrow, and then take the average of the three days.
