hi all,

its' been a long time since i've posted on this message board. i recently had a baby girl and put on 40 pounds. i was down 20 after two weeks, and then i lost about 1-2 pounds more. then i binged for a week on ice cream and packed on five pounds. now i am 189.5 and my goal weight is 140. but i'm so down because ive been recording all my food and eating my exercise calories and it's been 2 weeks and i haven't lost an ounce. What's going on??????
please any words of encouragement would help greatly.

thanks,
down and sad...

Give your body some time to adjust to all the changes, your hormones are still out of whack and lack of sleep doesn't help. Just keep doing what you are doing, don't forget to get your rest, enjoy your baby and don't quit now! The weight will come off!

    farrahmelanie,
try to measure Your waist. hips. chest. (right below bra), also. You will see the number in inches going down and lbs slowly. It 's take a time. Not to be worry, time will show a good result.Watch Your calories, eat small meal. nithing heavy after 5PM, drink a lot of water.
I had lost in 2 months - 2.5 in waist, - 6lbs, baby healthy steps and loose them for good.
    Good luck to You, Maria

Oh the joys of remaining baby weight.....I feel your pain. I have 3 kids and gained between 60-85 lbs. with each one. :grumble:

As much as it sucks, it WILL take time to come off. My youngest is 2 1/2 so if you just had the baby and are already trying to lose then your doing great! Make sure you don't overdo it, let your body readjust to not having another human being in it, make sure you get enough nutrition to take care of you and your baby! It will happen, just be patient!

I agree with Maria. I didn't lose any weight when I first started, but I did however lose 3 inches in my waist and hips. I'm sure the inches are coming off...just not the weight (at least not yet). The weight will come off with time. Keep up the calorie counting, healthy eating, and the exercising and with a little time I'm sure you'll be seeing results! Good luck! Don't give up :flowerforyou:
