workout hunger vs. non workout hunger

I have a question...Just out of curiosity....

When I workout I usually burn between 600 and 700+ calories And I noticed that I'm hungry ALLLL DAY and when I don't work out, I'm barely hungry! I still have an appetite (good ole' fat girl appetite) but barely hungry. It's so weird! Does this happen to anyone else?

  • Yup!!! I think our bodies need fuel, so we need to eat more when we work out. That's my problem, I don't eat enough. MFP is making sure I eat all of my calories! And since I'm staying consistent I noticed I have more even energy day to day.

The other weird thing is that if I eat crap then I don't get as hungry, but I eat lean and healthy then I'm starving all of the time. And the "fact" that if you eat more protein you won't get as hungry isn't true for me. I eat almost only protein for breakfast and I'm starving in 2 hours!

Yep, it's because you body just burned off a ton of fuel and it needs to be re-fueled. Fuel it baby! :)
