Hey I'm Danielle. I joined MFP about a week ago and I am feeling pumped about changing my health.
I am 5 foot 4 inches, 20 years old and my starting weight was 183, as of today I am 180 lbs. My goal is to get my wieght down to somewhere in the 160lb area so I can get out of the obese range. According to the BMI scale (bogus) I would need to be down to 145 to be a healthy weight, but honestly I can not ever imagine being 145 again, I mean where would that weight loss come from, I'd be like skin and bones. I almost feel like it wouldn't be me without a little squishy-ness.
Anywho, I really like this site and I am finding it to be very rewarding.
I am excited to progress to better health with everyone here!
edit: also I am totally addicted to the ipod app! its totally boss.

I love that attitude! Surround your weight loss journey in positivity and you'll succeed!
And yes, I agree... my BMI says currently I'm obese and I'm down to 95 kgs from 116kg! I say the BMI is a great goal to go for if you're a stick - and yes, I mean a literal stick that is not human - but I'd rather be 90 kg's with 10% body fat. That weight would be all muscle!0
