My weight is going up and down, it is so frustrating. I work out 5-6 times a week. 2 days a week I do TRX and sometimes 3 days a week and the rest of the time I do elliptical, treadmill, stairs, and just started the rowing machine. I try really hard to stay in my calorie goal and to eat back calories. i just don't know if I am doing this all wrong or just have no patience?

  • Measure instead of weighing because weight does not truely show progress. Weight fluctuates due to water retention from muscles and other normal body processes. It would also help to see you food diary and your stats. Do not know what type of food you are mainly eating or sodium intake.

water retention from sore muscles and high sodium. Don't stress it.

It sounds as though you are doing the right things, so you just have to keep going!
Don't weigh yourself every day, that can just get depressing. You weight will always go up and down, that's quite normal - it might be due to hormones, fluid, bathroom habits, exercise habits, injury.... so many reasons.
It doesn't mean you're not going to lose weight, it just means that you have to find what works for you and keep doing it. For months not days - which was a tough thing for me to realise, that I'm not just "on a diet" that is going to end, I need to establish good habits that I can do for the rest of my life. Not easy, but worth it!
