I've been craving for cookies, but, don't want to give in to the flour, sugar, and fat in them. Thus, I went into my kitchen and came up with this:
Flour-less, Sugarless, Oil-less "Chewy Cocoa Oatmeal Cookies"!
It's not the same as "cookies", but, it's healthy and saved me from my cookie craving.
Ingredients:
3 tbs Instant Oatmeal Rolled [plain oatmeal!]
1/2 tbs Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
1 tsp Cinnamon Powder (unsweetened) [if you don't like cinnamon you can omit it]
4 tbs Almond Milk [can substitute with milk or water]
1tbs Honey [If you like it sweeter you can add more honey OR substitute in a whole banana for honey.]
1/2 tbs Dried Cranberry
Prepare:
- Oatmeal: you can use it as is or grind into powder
- Dried Cranberry: chop finely
[- Banana: smash it up]
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Instructions:
[... I don't quite think this part is necessary, since all you have to do is put things in one at a time and mix..]
1. In a bowl pour in the Oatmeal, Cocoa Powder, Cinnamon Powder and mix
2. Add in Honey or mushed Banana, mix
3. Add in Dried Cranberry and mix
4. Add in the Almond milk 1 tbs at a time, mix until things are well mixed together
5. Form the cookies and put onto baking sheet, bake in preheated oven for 2-5min
It's different from what I was craving, chocolate chip cookies with lots of sugar and butter, but... I guess this is easier, better, and healthier to put into my system...
