    I have a math question. According to what I am understanding (from kids math book) the real way to determine % lost is to divide CW by SW. So for me that would be 229.6/231.8. Any thoughts?

    Good q. Someone last month gave this formula but results work out different. I'm non the wiser which one truly equals to % lost, but as I'm not a number person I'm guessing the formula CW/SW is prolly right.

    Do you think I should change this for next month?

    I was confused for a bit too. I found the same formula on a number of websites. You always work with the amount of weight lost. Take the weight lost(starting weight - current weight) and divide it by the starting weight. Multiply by 100 to get from decimal to the percent lost.

    For example:
    Starting weight of 172 - current weight of 170 = 2 pounds lost.
    2 divided by 172 = .0016
    Then .0016 times 100 = 1.16%

    Needed to save this for later...so bump!

    And I'm struggling with this challenge. Don't really know why..I'm exercising daily (Sundays off and this past Wednesday). My food choices are balanced....I know I'm losing inches because a lot of my clothes are getting too loose. I will weigh in Sunday and check in. Meanwhile I have lost 2 pounds since this kicked off.
  • Hallo! I'm a bit (well, okay. VERY) late with this but here's my 2nd week update.

    Starting Weight – 146.6lbs (Sunday 1st April) (Just gonna round off to 147lbs)

    Goal Weight Loss – 5.9lbs (Round off to 6lbs, making goal weight 141lbs on April 30)

    Week 1 - 144.4 lbs. and 1.5 % lost (Monday 9th April) (to be honest, my Maths sucks so I just hope my calculation is right, hah)
    Week 2 - 142.6 lbs. and 2.7 % lost (Monday 16th April) (I actually don't get this bit. I mean do I calculate how many % lost since last week or since we began? So I just put the % for the latter)

    Don't think I'm going to lose much this week, though, because biscuits have been in plentiful supply at work and working afternoon shifts ruin my meal times and I get very hungry. *sniff sniff*

    Week #2 not so good, back to where I started, ughhh! Also I am weighing early due to my work schedule ( I work night shifts all weekend) and it just throws off my weight for a good day.

    Week #1 : 1.9lbs /182.9lbs *100= 1.03% (April 6)
    Week #2 : +1.8 lbs /182.9 * 100 = +0.9% (April 13th)
    Week #3 : -2.9 lbs / 182.9 * 100 = 1.6% (April 23)

    This week much better than last, yeah!
