Please help.
I changed my lifestyle stating Jan 1st of this year and I have healthly lost 18lbs. I have watched my diet and I have done a mix of the ellyptical (which I have at home) and a bodypump class at the gym that uses 5-10lb weights. 10 weeks ago, i joined a biggest loser competition and i have been in the lead the whole time WELL turns out 2 ex-wrestling coaches were not weighing in consistently and now they are claiming that they "KNOW EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK TO LOSE EXTRA WEIGHT AND FAST" and so I will be knocked out of the competition and lose the $550 prize. I was wondering if you could help me. Is there anything else that I can do in just 10 days to lose weight? diet tips? exercises?
FYI - I am scared to start weights until filnal weigh-in just incase i bulk up or gain weight from gaining muscle. That will come after the competition is over.
Advice would be welocmed. Thank you.

That is not fair IMO. That they are just using tricks to lose weight and win.

I have heard of things like this before but I can't understand the concept very well. I think people do weight training competitions use this type of tricks to meet the weight class.

Hopefully you will win since you have done it the right way.

An old wrestlers trick to lose weight just before the weigh in is to not take in any water and excrete all the fluids they have. Also using a laxative a day before. You have to be careful as not to dehydrate yourself. Other than that there isn't much in the way of 'tricking' the body to shed weight. You could starve yourself for 2 days before your body starts hanging on to weight. Anything that jeapordizes your health isn't worth the first place prize. Good luck!

We talked about this...I know its $550 but IMO they are cheating and you shouldn't lower yourself to their standards!

I was in a 10 week biggest loser contest at work too. Changed my diet, walked between 4-5 miles every day (at 15min/mile brisk pace). I lost 23lbs which ended up being 11.6%. That got me third. The girl who got second started at 119 and ended up losing 6lbs the last like 4 days (hmmmm....doesnt sound very healthy to me....). 1st place exercised and changed the diet some. He was at almost 13%. We went to Hooters for lunch to "celebrate" and he said he ate Taco Bell too that night. He was 8lbs heavier the next morning. I was the same identical weight.

Oh well, moral of the story is that you cant stop desperate people from doing desperate things. Ours was only $200 for winning too, Oh well, I will take comfort in knowing that I did it correctly and will keep the weight off while they will most likely be doing the same exact contest next year!

Dont kill yourself to try to keep up with cheaters, your health isnt worth $550!
