I wonder who the marketing person was who thought that would go over well.0

A douche.0 -
I wonder who the marketing person was who thought that would go over well.
Probably the person who was on the receiving end of this:

Wow, as a serious ad that's pretty bad, but as a fitness-y joke I think it's hilarious! Probably not something you should be saying/ using to get people to buy your product though...0

Can't see it at work: what does it say?0

"Cheat on your girlfriend, not on your workout"
nice...0 -

The better question is why did his manager approve it.0 -
At least it went both ways??? Sorry i find these ads a little funny. Distasteful yeah a little but still funny.
I would like to know how this got past through all of the people involved without someone going "Uh guys maybe we shouldn't do this."0 -
*giggle* it reminds me of peta's "I'd go naked before I'd wear fur" campaign.
But ya, someone should've realized it would spark an uproar.0 -

Or their "Vegetarians have better sex"
Anyway, this was totally stupid. It wasn't even clever or funny enough to make a good advertisement.0 -
Speechless. Just...speechless.0 -
Perhaps causing an uproar was the point.0

It's not sexist, because it came in "girlfriend and boyfriend" versions, but it is stupid.
Now stupid, in advertising, is fine as long as it's funny and / or clever too.
That's not funny. Nor is it clever. Nor does it even merit an uproar.
It's just lame.

FAIL
Which is how I would define a douche. *high five*0 -

It worked didn't it? And we are all talking about it... so it obviously got Reebok attention...0 -
LOL! I've seen the ads in a magazine somewhere. Pretty sad.0

This has unfortunately placed them firmly on the "feeling embarrassed for them, and feeling embarrassed to be wearing Reebok" side of the line.
Shame, because their products are of a reasonably good quality.
If only you could say the same for their image...0 -

Might be talking about it, but I don't think that "any publicity is good publicity." I'm not in an uproar, I just think it's stupid advertising. Talking about them doesn't make me want to go out and buy their stuff. Like Tour said, it's not even idiotic but clever, it's just idiotic.0 -
it was just a promo for their new shoes .... The Cheetahs!0
-
Jeebus Christ, people are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to over senstive. What's wrong with the ad honestly?? What is the divorce rate in North America? Pot meet kettle.0
