Exercise while sick/not feeling good

Is it good to work out while not feeling well or being sick with a cold/flu? I have heard it both ways and just wanted more information.

The general rule is that if you've got a stuffy nose etc (above the neck) you're ok to workout , if it's below the neck take the day off (or longer if needed). Having said that, you won't be Mr. Popularity at the gym if you're sneezing and snorting.....0
