Just thought that before posting I should introduce myself. I am a grandmother of one who needs to lose about 40 lbs and learn portion control through reduced carb intake. I am using the diabetic exchange list to find my portions but this site with its info should help me be sure that I am getting all the needed nutrients.
I walk the dog at a brisk pace twice a day for 30 minutes for exercise and eat homemade food most of the time.
