Hate water with a passion.
Water mixers make it much better though. I drink 16 cups on average with water mixers0 -
add a squeeze of lemon0
-
Not a fan but I've really been trying. Getting it down as fast as possible helps!0
-
no, i like water i get at least 10-16 cups a day. but someone said that you get all the needed water from the foods you consume, idk how accurate that is though. anyone hear about this?0

It's not my favorite. I really only like it when I'm working out. So I drink ice tea w/2 splendas. It is a lot easier for me to drink 36-42oz of tea during the workday than it is to drink water. It counts because ice tea is mostly water anyways.0

I've made myself sooooo tired of it too. Water and coffee. Water and coffee....0 -
I really hate water too. I try my hardest to drink it. But at the same time just blah. I go to the bathroom more with water than drinking coffee or diet soda, so maybe the biggest benefit is walking from my office to the bathroom 8 times a day and burning all the extra calories.
I tried the mixers but some of those have calories and I would rather not use calories for my liquids.
I like ICE. It is a brand of water, with fizz, and has a lot of different flavors but no calories.0 -
Feel bad for you. I LIKE water... drink it almost exclusively, always have... and I still find drinking 8 cups a day a challenge on most days. :ohwell:0
-
I feel like I know the importance... And I know how good it is for me... I know people who love it... So I should be able to just quit being a baby and start to.... Like it? Ick. *laughs*0

Drink bottled water! Tap water is nasty!0

When I started drinking water probably 18 yrs ago I hated it to. It has no taste, no texture and I was lucky if I drank a glass a day. I was a HUGE milk drinker. Eventually I got used to drinking water and now it is seriously all I drink. No soda, very little milk, cup of coffee a day. I have seen people suggest putting some flavoring in the water and then gradually lessen it over time. When my kids were younger and I wanted them to drink more water instead of juice I watered down their juice until by the end of the day it was all water and now my daughter drinks nothing but water or milk and my son drinks water (not as much as I'd like him to but some is better than none) Try flavored water or put lemon in it. Try gradually working your way up to drinking water and don't knock yourself just because you don't like water0

I can't drink 8 glasses of plain water a day,so what i do is put a tiny little bit of double strength squash into & bottle & fill it with water, then drink that instead. It tastes like flavoured water you buy in shops, but works out alot cheaper0
-
The only way I can drink water if its over ice.. or almost slushy... frozen.. otherwise yuck pooooey0

Not a big fan of water but I'm ADDICTED to SoBe Zero and Vitamin Water Zero. Try it, good stuff!0
-
Don't even think about it just drink it!0
-
if i could drink all the water i'm supposed to, instead of MAYBE one to two glasses a day that i have to force down, the weight would be falling off and my skin would be amazing.0

I've been staring at the same bottle of Evian since 3pm. Ugh.
When I'm working out, I tend to drink it best, so I try and get in at least a liter while I'm there... Which most days isn't very difficult. But after that, I'd almost rather drink anything else... But because I'm trying to watch my intake, rather tha. Drink something "bad" I find myself , like today, and the past few hours, drinking nothing. Oh... I'll get it down... But I just feel it shouldn't be this tough.0 -
Water has no taste so how can you hate a tasteless substance? You know…, it’s about your health, not about an explosion of flavor going off in your mouth every time you put something in it. I prefer brownies over broccoli, but my health is more important than a minute of pleasure. It’s your choice…, to each is own.0

Yup, can't stand plain water. I use propel zero mix, or crystal light, wylers or something like that (although all except the propel have 10 cals a packet so I have to remember to log it) regardless I don't think I've even made it to 8 glasses a day yet. I average about 6.....if I'm lucky and thirsty that day.0

I *HATE* water. I find drinking it out of a large cup with an attached straw helps me for some reason.0

I think Water does actually have a taste, depending where you are and how many chemicals are added etc. Either that or it's the lack of taste period that isn't pleasing. Either or, I'd ratther drink something that has a good taste to it. Just my two cents.0 -
I hated water too but I made a resolution a few years ago to give up my diet coke addiction and drink water instead. I started by making crytal light, and gradually made the cyrstal light more and more diluted.
I still drink Crystal Light but make it at maybe 1/5 the strength they suggest and is soooo good!!
Plus CL has so many flavors out I can drink different flavors every day and not get bored.
Now I've even found myself just enjoying straight plain water as well :-)0 -
add a squeeze of lemon
I do that, and occasionaly I'll add a packet of splenda to make a watered down "no pun intended" version of lemonade!0 -
HATED water with a passion--just didn't want to drink it...period.
One of my new (humbling) lifestyle "Requirements" was to drink water. Even though I didn't like it--I did/do it. I'm following One who wants me to--therefore I do. I started off drinking room temperature water as soon as I woke-up. I started this two months ago...now I drink about 12 cups of water per day (most times a bit more). Now I ONLY drink water and tea...I don't drink anything else now and I'm so glad. My skin is really reaping fabulous benefits of water.
First it was a major pain, going to the potty so much--but now I have more control of my bladder. Now I crave water instead of coffee, pop, store bought juice--so it's really helping me in far more ways than I'd imagined.0 -
Lol @ timmymon... I do. Sometimes. But I just don't like it... And I can't seem to convince myself it's delicious.
Silkysly, maybe it comes from not being raised on having to drink water. But you're right, it is tasteless... It shouldn't be a problem. But it is. Im not saying i dont drink it. I do. I just DO NOT LIKE it... And i know people who love it. Then again, I ate banana the other day, and wound up with killer heartburn.. To me, that shouldn't have happened either. The most mellow fruit on the planet and I was on fire. Perhaps it's all related to being 40. *laughs*0 -
I don't hate water, but I'm curious about why you do. Is it the taste? Is it the lack of taste? Do you not trust the clearness of it? I am really very curious. I get not liking it, but hating it? It seems like a very extreme emotion to associate with a *mostly* harmless liquid.0
-
I don't mind but its gotta be ice cold..or I substitute some 10 cal vitamin water..or a hint of lemon makes it tolerable0
-
get those MIO things. I love water but every once in a while you gotta have some flavor.0

I absolutely have no idea "why" ... But I'm pleased to know I'm not the only one that struggles with it.
I had a kidney stone last year. Likely due to not drinking enough fluids, namely water. So I DO drink it. I just do not like it.0 -
I hated water when I started, but now I am used to drinking it and I find myself drinking more water than anything else! hang in there it gets easier!0
