I posted some pics of my moose hunt. The red meat lovers should really appreciate what you get off a moose. This is just one hind quarter. My hand is on the Bottom Round. That thing is huge.

I just got in an order of raindeer, caribou and venison. They didn't have any moose, or I would have ordered that, too. Do you know a company that mailorder ships moose meat?

Sorry I do not. Perhaps a call to a butcher in Northern MN in the fall. They may have an excess that they can sell. I'd try Goodland MN, Ely MN and International Falls MN.

Ours were on dry ground. However it was still interesting. THe moose went down at dusk so we were butchering in the dark with a wolf pack harassing us to get to the moose. It was very steep country so walking out in the dark was not a option. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night.
