Surgery and time to tone

For a while, I noticed my female issues had been resurfacing. I was eating between 1200 and 1400 calories a day and was still gaining weight.

Felt a lump in my abdomen and went to doctor.

Within a month about, I was having surgery to remove a 7 pound tumor off my left ovary AND remove my left ovary.

The bloat and pain and water weight was UNREAL. here are some pics...

Left is before surgery, right is 7 days after

Now, 9 days after surgery I look like this:

I am happy to see that my calorie watching actually WORKED! once I get the go-ahead from the doctor, I will start to tone. But for now, i am just going to get back to calorie watching tomorrow.

:) I fee pretty sucessful. It was so frustrating to gain weight from my condition. But...hopefully that will NEVER happen again. They took out my ovary which is where the last tumor grew too.

So...YAY! There's me. Starting again. This time, focusing on fitness.

Amazing. I hope you continue to heal well.

I had surgery 3 weeks ago, and I've only this week put my calories back down (although still up from pre-surgery), make sure you are fully recovered you need extra calories to heal... and your surgery was much more involved than mine.

You just have to be really intune with your body. Sometimes a plateau or a gain in weight is more than diet and exercise.

Doc said if I let this go (as it was growing larger), it would have ended up with torsion of the ovary which would have landed me in the ER.

    What was your surgery for?

THANKFULLY the doc is a genius and could do this all laparoscopically. I have 5 small incisions around my navel and a large one in the navel itself. Ew. But that's where he took everything out. AMAZING.

I had an arthroscope to remove two sets of torn cartilage from my knee.

So I only have two small incisions, one either side of my kneecap.

I was on crutches for about 10 days after, and I'm still walking with a limp, but I'm in less pain now than I was before the surgery, every improvement from now on is an improvement on what I had before.

Oh gosh! Glad you got that taken care of. It's amazing what they can do now, isn't it? No way would they have been able to do our surgeries 50 years ago the way they did it now.

:) Happy healing! I feel great Just by taking that thing out, it cleared up my roseacea and my heartburn and IBS.
