Hi
I have lost some weight over the last few months but am confused as to if I need to put up my intake?
At the moment I am on ................................................1200 calories and burn off any extra calories I eat with exercise
(I am still getting a slight weight loss at the moment but it is slowing up)
When I check my BMR I get this .................................Your estimated BMR is: 1,421 calories/day
It has gone up since my weight has gone down (and am confused!) is it best to do as it tells me? Does it work, has it worked for you ?
Please advise, thanks

bump because I keep asking this question with no response. My BMR is 1567 but my AMR says 2300. Can that be right?0

I am not a dr or health/ weightloss professional at all, but I am extremely wary of people who say 'you need to eat more to lose'
It's a numbers game - and frankly if you listen to your body you'll know the answer.
I always know when I'm losing weight - I can feel it - seriously.
Listen to your body.
Count calories, be honest - and on this site don't blindly trust the caloric values added by others. (The other day I had a kiev and someone had added it as 345 cals and it was 546 cals according to the box. Seriously DUDE. Same brand, same country, same item. )0 -
This explains it : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/477666-eating-for-future-you-method
and long story short - yep, you need to be eating above BMR0
