is it possible that I can feel my abs???

ok so Im 5'6 185lb.. I've been doing p90x I've lost 16lb so far... is it possible that im feeling my upper abs??.. even tho im still at this weight? btw Im a girl.. i got my mom to feel them and she thinks they are abs.. i mean... I just cant believe it.. i cleaned my whole diet.. and it just seems crazy that at my weight im feeling this... if its not my abs what could it be.. regardless im really happy :)

edit:im on my last phase of p90x.. and then round 2 :)

    Of course it is possible. Everyone has abs muscle. Most people have them under a layer of fat, which is why they are not visible.

    Congrats on the weight loss! It sure could be abs...I can sometimes feel mine under that layer of fat qtiekiki mentioned!!

    Yes - just because the fat's still there, doesn't mean the muscles don't grow bigger with exercise.

    keep losing weight + do some toning and you'll be able to show off those off

    Those are most definitely ab muscles! Unless you are feeling the bones of your ribcage. And I know exactly how you feel. I was super stoked when I could finally feel toned abs underneath the pudge layer of my belly. Can't see them yet, but someday:love:
