I just got off the elliptical...now before I tell you how many calories I burned I did a 45 minute interval program the resistance goes anywhere from 3 to 10 ten being the most amount of resistance. That machine says I burned 955 calories. Now, I was sweating my *kitten* off for real! I wonder what the likeliness I actually burned that many calories? Anyone got any idea?

when i am on the elliptical, doing intervals with resistance, i average about 100 cals per 10 minutes.
i put in my weight as 132 and age 340 -
Yeah that's what I averaged too... although since I got my HRM which has all my actuals typed into it, I seem to burn off more than that. I figure it's more acurate as knows my heart rate, age and weight - where as the machine doesn't have that information. Although I type in my weight, it doesn't know my heart rate unless I change to hold the sensors.0
