New & Need Advice/Encouragement

Just now ending my first week on MFP. I have to say I love this website/app!

I've been maintaining my weight for about 2 years now, but want to lose 12-15 lbs (going to the beach in June). After gettting relatively no exercise all winter, I joined a gym the first of February and have been consistently going 3/wk and burning about 300 calories doing cardio. My exercise diary for this week is pretty much what I've been doing now for 7 weeks. After the first six weeks of work outs and not losing a single pound, the frustration was building.

This week I joined MFP! I feel like I've been successful, maybe a little short on calories, but afraid that, again, I won't lose any lbs. I have not measured, but my clothes aren't really fitting better yet either.

Will it ever happen?
