Is it Just Me...

Or does my body take FOREVER to lose weight... it's really bizzare that I weigh in every week but the numbers stay the same. This would upset me in the past, but i've been having plenty of NSV's to make up for it (non scale victories - such as clothes fitting better etc...)
But the numbers on the scale stay the same, then out of no where like a month and a half of weekly weigh ins I lose 2-4lbs. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?? I hate waiting and wish I could lose 1lb a week on the scale regularly

I'm just the same way. I lose VERY slowly. No matter how hard I work out, no matter how well I eat. Weight loss is slow. Just be happy with the losses you do see, and those NSV's are awesome! I know, not as gratifying as seeing the scale go down, but at least clothing is fitting better!0

I love you!!! Finally someone who understands my pain. It's like my body is hanging on very tightly to every ounce of fat... we'll get there one day0

I'm right there with you. I've been the same for a couple of months now... so close to goal, but feels so far away!0

I tend to lose in spurts too. I would weeks with little or no loss, then suddenly lose 2-3 in a week. It usually takes at least 3 weeks to see the first loss. I have no idea why. I've always been like that.0

I feel the same way, I finally have been able to get the scale to go down another pound after burning about 500 calories a day the last few days. it sucks but eventually we will get there dont give up!0

Yes I lose like that....nothing for a few weeks and then a solid 2 pounds out of nowhere. It is very strange. and can be frustrating if you stress over it.

If you're not measuring your inches, do that. I actually gained two pounds this week, according to the scale. But I took my measurements after ten faithful days of staying within calorie range and walking/running. Down 5" between my waist, bust, and hips.
The scale is NOT your friend.

Took me the last three months to learn this. I lost 11 pounds - then a whole month of nothing - then I lost 5 pounds - then SLOWLY lost another 2 over the next two weeks. Now I'm up a little, but smaller. And because of those measurements and good MFP friends who can relate - I ain't stressin'!
Hang in there!0 -
