Okay, i was anorexic and bulimic for a few years (bulimia lasted only a few months) and now in october this year i will be two years in recovery.
The system set my calorie intake to 1200 for losing a little less than a pound a week. I want to get down to 100lbs. 112-113lbs now.
Anyway, i changed my calorie intake to 1300. I workout so i added it so id eat my workout calories.... so i wouldn't be eating too little but it scares me. Right now my diary says total would be today 1241calories. not 1454calories (exercise).
I am finding it really hard to know what my proper nutrition is. Anyone recovered or in recovery from an eating disorder who is willing to help? I would love responses from anyone though not just people with/had ED.
Thanks

Sorry, did you say 100lbs? How tall are you?0

Please clarify how tall you are. Not many people should have a goal weight of 100 pounds, so I am hoping that 100 pounds is a healthy weight for you.0

I'm in recovery as well and my main suggestion is to visit a dietician to help guide you with this. It made a huge difference in my life. When I try to do this on my own, I have a tendency to slip back into my old ED habits easily and quickly. My dietician helped me set realistic goals for me to be healthy. Good luck and congratulations on your two years in recovery!0

I am 5'2" and i don't have insurance for a dietician. and thank you for the congrats0

I just went to the Dr's today because my husband was concerned about me being underweight. I have lost 62 lbs since September of 2010 the right way eating healthy and exercising. I weigh 110 right now and I am 5 4 1/2. The Dr. today said that I am right at my proper BMI but if I continue to work out and eat like I have been will continue to lose weight. She suggested I see a dietician at our local hospital to make sure that I am getting the correct amounts of everything--fats, carbs, proteins, etc. I have never had an eating disorder and I am not a Dr. but 100 lbs seems like a low weight for any adult. My family Dr. called the dietician today she had to leave a message to make an appt. for me..but I am looking forwarding to printing all the information that I have entered into this site so they can review and help me stay on a healthy balance of diet and exercise.0

If you want to weigh 100 lbs at 5'2" tall, your BMI would be 18. That is considered underweight. It sounds to me that you are at a perfect weight right now. Why would you lose anymore? Please reconsider your goals. I also have a history of ED and I know it can be a very slippery slope....I don't even step on a scale anymore.0

I think you look amazing right now. If you want to lose that last little bit, I think you should consider strength training. You're at a very healthy weight right now.
I know from previous posts that you want to get down to 100, and I think you even asked in a previous post if others agreed with you that 100 would look good. I didn't see any positive responses on there, and I think maybe you should take that as an indication that 100 isn't healthy for you.
At your height, you should be between 108-121 for a small frame, 118-132 for a medium frame, and 128-143 for a heavy frame.
I'm 4'11 with a small frame and I shouldn't even be 100 lbs.
Hopefully you'll get some responses here from people recovering from an ED. But seriously, try strength training. You might see the results you're looking for without that loss on the scale. After all, the goal is to look good, right?0 -

Thanks love! I wouldn't mind strength training. It is extremely hard not to not wish i were lower. Just to see if i could do it without not eating. I do understand where you are coming from though.0 -

You can easily contact your local Health Department for nutritional information.. I would also consider asking them about medical clinics that sees patients on a sliding-fee scale. You shouldnt be going out with proper medical attention for basic care, especially if you are recovering.0 -
Looks like a red flag to me.0
