So, yeah, I just signed up for a 1.5mi run sponsored by the local newspaper. Since I'm training for a 5k it'll be a good stepping stone I suppose. The only problem is I only have about 2 weeks until the race. Eeek!

  • Guess you'd better find the nearest track and start running! I'm actually training for the peachtree run, i think it's 5 miles.....i hope it's not more than that:ohwell: but I'm sure it'll do me more good than harm. Good luck, just keep swimming! you'll feel awesome when it's over!:drinker:

:drinker: Good for you msarro!!! You can do this - and it will be a good stepping stone for your 5K. Watch out though. You might get bit by the race bug~~

I think it's a great idea to do a 1.5 miler! It will be a good way to get the feeling/experience of race day.
I agree....the bug may bite...this running thing is very addictive!
    Good luck!

Welp it's official, I'm signed up.
Going to run the 1.5 mile tonight just to show myself I can do it - I'm not too worried because I know I can jog it. The thing that has me concerned is whether or not I can do it quickly. Not that it matters, but I'd like to at least have a decent showing
