I know this might ba a weird question but will my thighs shrink with the more weight I lose. I hate walking/running and having my thighs rub together.:grumble: Is there something I can do to make them go away.

yes with any cardio you do, you will see inches go but walking and running by far will get you more results so keep it up. Do you have access to a treadmill? Either way if you dont make it a game to help time go by faster and you might not notice the rubbing as much. Tell yourself every minute or two change things up. Either speed up, or increase the incline, (if you have a treadmill) or go out walking but find someone to walk with. so long as you walk at a fast enough pace that you are getting your heart rate up.
Along with walking you can do exercises that target the inner thighs. That are lots of machines that can do it and even things you do with your own body you can do at home. Google them and take a few and do them daily and then do different ones the next week so as to not get burnt out.
Pilates and yoga are great for weight loss and to slim up certain areas of your body. you can do them at home or take classes. Look into it. Pilates are easier than most think and you really feel the burn with them. There are so many things out there that can help you reach your goal you just have to keep trying over and over to find the things you like. Just mix things up weekly so you dont get bored and your body doesnt plateau b/c it will if you arent careful. This will help speeds things up a bit but be know that when you lose weight there no way to determine where you will lose so dont get discouraged if you lose elsewhere first. your thighs will seperate once again!
    Good luck!!!

Maybe a stationary bike would help? My friend and I have less irritation when we do that. :)

Some of it depends on your genetics. Even when I was in high school (I weighed 120ish) and college (dropped down to 105), and was in cross country, track, and swimming, my upper thighs still rubbed together. Not as much as they do now, obviously  , but they still did. I hate the way shorts get caught up in the thigh rub and bunch up and look dorky...

LOL! petmybunny!!! This happens to me too!!!

Smagdag, I do find that when exercising or whatever if I wear a spandex type bike shorts that it is less irritating.

I have reconciled myself to being a pear shape. When I look in the mirror I look like a doll that the wrong top and bottom were put together.

At almost 45 it has taken my a long time to accept this and I am trying to help my daughters feel good about themselves as well.

The more I exercise and lose (all together 40# now) the better I feel.

I know it will always happen and that no matter how skinny I get, skinny jeans are NOT in my future:wink: but I can look beautiful anyway.

Keep going! It can only get better even if it is not perfect.
