i was eating 1200 calories for a month til i lose 13lbs, MFP recommends going up to 1310 so i tried..but ever since i do the 1310 i feel like i am always hungry... back when i was doing 1200 i am always contented with what i eat.. i dunno if hunger is just in my head or because of my metabolism.... am i still gonna lose weight eventhough i eat from 1300-1400cals per day? i exercise 400-700 a day....

I switched from 1200 to 2000 calories while almost doubling my protein intake. I was stalled at 42 lbs lost. As soon as I did that, I reset to see what it would do and have already lost 5 lbs since.0

Glad you mentioned that. I have been reading a lot about this because I have been doing 1200 calories a day but feeling tired. For women the lowest safest caloric intake should not be lower than 1200. For a man the lowest should not be lower than 1700 (the difference being that men and women's bodies are different. I have uped my calories to 1400 and feel so much more energized and ready to exercise. Depending on your body you don't want too few calories because then your metabolism can drop and your body can go into starvation mode so then you really won't loose weight because our body feels like it needs to hold on to everything. I hope this helps, try discussing it with your doctor!0
