How come all the threads apparently get overtaken by those who choose to "crack wise" about everything. I mean really...

Is nothing sacred?

Can't there be an intelligent discussion?

Can't we stay on a serious topic and leave it devoid of this incessant joking and making light of everything?

I for one am growing weary from all this joviality.
