I've gained a lot of weight in the past year due to stress and bad eating choices. Now I have a foot injury that I am recovering from which makes it hard to exercise. I recently got engaged and we have the date set in December. I'm starting to freak out because it's March already and I don't know how much I can possibly lose between now and then. I know I definitely won't be at my goal. I have about 170 pounds to lose. How much do you think I could realistically lose between now and then?

So you have about nine months until you get married? I would say you could lose about 70-80 lbs by than. However, it all depends on your diet and exercise.
I found a stationary bike really helped me get active when I broke a few bones in my foot. Once it was partially healed I could use it no problem. Could help you get that exercise in. However it depends on the injury and how severe it is.
Weight loss is a lot to do with diet. If you eat at a calorie deficit you will lose. Exercise helps to widen that deficit if you choose and also has a ton of other benefits!!
Don't stress too much over it! A wedding is more than enough stress (I am getting married in just under a month!). You will look gorgeous on your wedding day!
Gocus on getting your foot better and healed. Change your diet and you will have a head start. Add in whatever exercise is comfortable when you can.0 -
rowing macines are also good, low impact on the lower part of the body, and burn a lot of calories.0

Eating right is the most important part of weight loss. Of course, exercise works as well but you could work out like a mad woman and if you're not eating right, you won't get the results you are looking for. While you are recovering from your injury, I would suggest put your main focus into eating habits. Start with low impact exercising when you are able and start out SLOW, you don't want to make your foot worse. Best of luck!
