So I've recently come across information that indicated animal products (mostly when your diet contains a certain percentage of them) are actually a fairly big contributor to diseases and cancers. So, since I don't want to get rid of animal products entirely, I want to substitute as many animal products with healthier choices. So we come to the question:

Which milk is best?

There's soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.

Are there any negative effects anyone has noticed? Any particular good things about each one? Which do you all prefer, and what can you use these milks for? Cereal, eggs, baking?

Please share your experiences :)

  • I LOVE the O organics vanilla soy. But I only use milk in my coffee and smoothies. I've always guessed that it would be delicious in my cereal as well. But don't really eat cereal that often.

I like Horizons Organic Milk(not cheap). All milk/meat substitutes are going to cost you a pretty penny. There are also definite drawbacks to things such as soy milk.

I can only have Rice, Hemp, or Coconut milk.

And out of those 3, I like rice milk to drink or cook with, but for ice cream or coffee creamer I buy coconut milk based items.
