Best Underware to Hide Lower Belly Pooch

What is the best underware to help make a lower belly pooch slimmer looking in pants? I've recently gone down from a 16 to a 12 but the excess lower pooch is still there and makes a big outline in my pants. Especially when I wear PJs or lounge wear.

I've tried Spanx power panties, but they just roll down and give me a muffin top which just creates more problems.
I need something desperately for the lower half to smooth things out especially under pants.

There's some they sell at JC Penney that aren't underwear, they're like a little corset. I had a huge under the belly button flap/flab thing going and it held it in place. It has wires in it or whatever they're called.

Some of the boyshorts from VS do that for me. They're a higher cut and made well, so they pull in that lower pooch a bit!

Check out spanx!! They are awesome. Sorry, jumped the gun on answering your post. My sister in law bought something like them but not so constricting, at Dillards. They really made her belly look flat and she is a size 14.

You probably want something with a "high-waist" like the kind of spandex underwear "bottoms" you find in the shapewear section--I sometimes where these with nice dresses--but they are otherwise ungainly and expensive. But...honestly...do yourself a favor and stop wearing nasty elastic-waisted clothing like pajama bottoms--even when I was in good shape these made me feel fat. Anything with a gathered elastic waist or a pleaded front is going to make you feel huge/accentuate that area. Go with a nice flat front look with a smooth broad elastic band (instead of a gather) like yoga pants. They sell them pretty much everywhere and there's no reason you couldn't wear them to bed too. I buy all my "I'm gonna shrink out of these so I don't want to drop a lot of cash" yoga pants at Walmart.com. Something like 7-12 dollars a pair there. Hope this helps.

I fell in love with the Daisy Fuentes hipster panties a few years ago--they were the only underwear I'd wear until Kohls stopped seeming to carry as much in stock. They're lace, but they're sturdy. They let your lady-parts breathe, and I find that they lay well on my body. Definitely worth checking out. Good luck!
