I'm so confused.........and discouraged. I either walk/jog on my treadmill or I do Zumba Rush on my Xbox Kinect. I had always just followed the "calories burned" on my treadmill, because it asks for my weight, height, age ect and I figured it was fairly close. After buying my Zumba at the end of your workout it tells you calories burned and I felt it was WAY to low for the intestity I was working and the sweat flying across the room so I bought a HRM. Last night I did the most intense Zumba session yet, and my HRM told me I only burned 100 calories....NO WAY! So I reset the HRM and re-entered all of my info and tested it again tonight, on the treadmill. According to my treadmill I burned 315 calories, according to my HRM I burned 98!!!! I don't know what is accurate, the HRM, the treadmill or what the Kinect tells me. They are all so VERY different. Anyone know which I should follow? Another thing is if you enter your exercise here on MFP and your minutes and it automatically puts in about how many calories you burned, it is always similar to my treadmill, but very far off from my HRM. Please help me!!

if your HRM uses a chest strap, then that's more accurate.0

My HRM did the same with Zumba. The wii said it was 270, the HRM told me it was 88. Guess if I had learned the steps first it might have been better :blushing:0

It does have a chest strap. I guess I just can't believe that I only burn a few calories working my A** off!!!!!! It just doesn't seem right to me!0

One thing to do is read the manual
- I found out my HRM only measures calories over a certain heart rate. Also, make sure you have your height and weight in the proper measuring units.
