Wake Me Up!

I feel sort of ridiculous asking and admitting this, but I need some help.

I totally and completely SUCK at waking up. My snooze button is worn out from being slammed 50 times each morning, and I usually end up trudging out of bed 15 minutes before I need to head out, throwing myself together, and I'm out the door. I really want to get my workout done in the morning though because I'm way too tired to do anything when I get home at like 10, and I have a tendency to not eat crappy post-workout, and that way I get it over with and feel good throughout the day. Buuuuut... I just need a little push to get into the routine of waking up that hour earlier.

I need to be up at 5:30/5:45, eastern time (I'm in NYC). Latest 6 (since I need to be done by 6:45 and out the door at like 7:30. Shower stuff my face throw myself together and out!). I know a lot of you wake up early to do your workouts/go to work. Basically I'm wondering if someone can text me (nonstop) or something in the morning to get me up. Knowing me, I think that knowing that someone knows that I have to do this will make me get up and do it (did that make sense?) It's like having a workout buddy, sort of. And just for a few days, just to get me in the routine. No one at home gets up this early, and none of my close friends that I can ask to do this know that life exists before 8, so I come to you guys. Pleasepleaseplease with a (low-cal) sugar coated cherry on top. Any takers? (send me a PM!)

Good luck! I also stink at getting up and hit the snooze about 800 times. So I'm probably not the best to help you... besides the fact that I'm in the mountain time zone. Hope you find someone to help you out though!

I have my alarm clock on the other side of the room, and a second one in a drawer set to go one minute later on a different side. I actually have to get out of bed and rummage around to find the first one, then just as im doen with that, the second goes off. By that time I'm awake and out of bed, instead of just being able to hit snooze and roll over.

You need to sleep in 3 hour cycles.
    So 6,9,12 etc....
Waking up in the middle of a delta cycle will make you hate life for the first part of the day.
So to learn how to do this, go to bed and set your alarm for 3 hours.
Sleep for 3 hours then grab some water then go back to sleep for 3 hours.
Do this on a night when you wont have to get up for work the next day.
After successfully doing this a few times youll get accustomed to 3 hour cycles.
youll only need 6-9 hours of sleep to feel regenerated the next day.

Also...skip breakfast and use those calories as a goodnight snack.
You dont have to but its what works for me!

I tried this once, but only with one. I just put it on the other side of the room. I ended up ignoring it and sleeping through the sound, since after a few minutes the alarm assumes you're dead or something and just stops ringing. Everyone else ended up waking up though, except, of course, me.

I'll try this drawer thing though! And two alarms. Haha, maybe I'll just take everyone's cell phone and set them a minute apart and around the room. There's 5 cell phones in the house, plus the alarm clock...

I vaguely remember something about this from psych class two years ago, but sounds cool. I'll do some research and try it out.

No takers, but thanks for the suggestions guys! =)
