Hi,

I'm new and I have a silly question. What does "bump" mean when someone posts it on the message boards?

Thanks!

Bump is something ppl type to bookmark a thread so they can come back later.

The more comments a post has the higher it moves in the feed. It's a way to help important/interesting posts stay visible.

kinda sorta. If you are on the main message board page, click on My Topics. It will show the last page full of topics you have commented on.

ya and sometimes someone will bump a thread that they want pushed to the top again.. When someone posts on a thread it pused is to the top of the message board and people will see it. I posted a thread over an hour ago that I am about to bump.
You dont have to write bump...you can write any word you want.... I am going to use Bimp lol

bump is something people use to pretend they will come back, i never seen a "bump" by someone, and have that same person reply to the topic later.

    but I just did? lol

I use it when there is an article referenced that I want to read later, or maybe a recipe I might want to try. It is just a way to save it so I can find it easily later.
