So, I'm training for a 5K and I'm curious as to what was the finish times for everyone on their very 1st 5K???

I am not worried about time for myself right now. I have a friend who is a marathon runner and she said not to worry about time right now, to just worry about stamina mainly. So I am. I ran for a full 20 min today (first time). I will be happy just to run a full 5 K with no walking but am still curious of other people's times!!

Remember that you're only running against yourself. That said, you'll probably run faster during the race than during your training runs. Race day endorphins are the greatest things ever!

My first race was a 4.5 miler, and I had to walk quite a bit of that because I wasn't used to running outside yet. I had an average pace of 5.8 mph, even with walking, which shocked the hell out of me because I was running at 5.5 mph on the treadmill!

My first 5k was a week later, and I was even more shocked that I finished in 29:42!
