Hi I'm Jen.
I hope to utilize this site as much as possible and receive and offer advice from others.
My stats are this:
Age: 35
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 155
Goal: 130
I run half marathons but I am a bad eater meaning I do not eat enough but I do eat healthy and maintain a Mediterranean diet (my family is from Sicily). I had my second child 2 yrs ago (the oldest is 11) and can not get rid of the extra pooch which is bothersome. I took about 3 months off from running between January and March of this year and now I'm back in training for another race because I gained about 15 lbs and the only way my brain knows how to keep an exercise regiment is to be in training for a race.
The eating your calories burned concept is new to me but I am trying. I am also a running coach and have a program called Motivational Running where I take people from ground zero of exercising and have them run a 5K within 15 weeks by gradually increasing their ability to run injury free and teach them tools to stay motivated and how to goal train for a 5K and anything else in life.
I'm thankful for this site and it is nice to really learn how many calories are in all foods especially when you have a cheat day and have a banana shake from Steak N Shake which is close to 700 calories :-)

Sounds like we are in a similar situation. I want to loose 5 pounds -- and am also training for a half marathon. I eat great all day long -- but at night the Oreos call my name
Not sure which way to turn -- should I execise more and eat the Oreos or put a padlock on the pantry! I'm thinking a few extra miles and I can have Oreos
Good luck! Oh -- and this is my first half marathon so any of that motivation you can throw my way would be appreciated0 -
