Late night eating

One of my biggest problems is that I'm a night owl. So I like to stay up late. But, I have heard that you shouldn't eat late at night. So, do you have any suggestions for something I can eat by like 6 or 7 pm that would keep me satisfied until 10 or 11?.... or a small snack that I could eat at like 9 or 10 that would keep me from binging and wouldn't make the scales go up the next morning?

There's nothing wrong with eating late at night. Actually, that's a common misconception. If you're within your calories then you'll be fine.

^^ This. Eat when it works for you, as long as you stay within your macros (calories, fat, carbs, protein) you'll be fine.

Yep. Ate at 11pm last night watching Spartacus. Oatmeal Squares cereal. 1 cup is 212 calories. Finished off my daily calories for the day.

Eat whenever you want! Unless you have digestion issues (heartburn) there's no reason not to. I typically eat 2000 cals between 6:30 and 9:45 pm; then go to bed while chewing my last bite lol.

  • The biggest issue with eating at night is if you're trying to go to bed early. If you're going to stay up until 2am, snacking at 11 or 12 shouldn't be a problem

The only issue with eating at night is if you go over your calories for the day. That is it. Nothing else. Make sure you have the calories available to eat at night, and you can eat. I design my day around this since I sleep better with a full stomach.
