My motivation for starting this journey was to paddle in the Mississauga Dragon Boat Festival. Well I'm all signed up and the first practice is June 2!!! I'm excited and scared.
I've never paddled Dragon Boat before and I don't think I have raced ANYTHING since I was kid. I'm hoping I can keep up with the 19 other folks in the boat. We are all ages and genders, but we do have a few athletes (my kids included!).
So many of you are looking at a 5k run goal - I am just hoping to survive 200 metres!!! Any advice, motivation, etc. would be appreciated.
