I have finsihed week 5 and have only lost 3 pounds. I am a distance cyclist and have loged 90 miles this week alone on my road bike...and all I have to show for it is the addition of 1/2 inch to my hips & waist, and no weight loss. I never go over my calories and in fact use a heart rate monitor for caloric accuracy. I am not giving up, but I don't think there are many people like me out there. I know my pancrase makes more insulin then the normal person but there isn't anything I can do about that, and it isn't an excuse. Starting yesterday I have redfined my caloric intake to be more in line with the Biggest Loser diets and am going to not replace any more then 1/2 of the calories I earn exercising. It's impossible to do distance cycling on 1179 calories a day, but I'm giving it my best shot. I really wanted to drop some weight befor my vacation next month and I thought I had given myself plenty of time to do it in. Any and all suggestions appreciated. :frown:
