A bit of a vent... no need to reply

Weight does NOT come off overnight. Only if you are losing the WRONG way... It takes a while when you do it right! It really bugs me how so many people get upset when the scale doesn't say what they want or goes down as fast as they want. It's NOT about the numbers it's about changing your lifestyle, to be healthy. A benefit is that you lose weight as a result of getting healthy!

Diets are for the birds...... It's about changing your lifestyle and losing the weight over time. As you eat better and get active (active as in: get off the couch, take a walk, work out, run, play at the park with your kids, etc...), the weight will naturally, but at its own pace..

You don't have to agree with me. It's just how I feel it is.

I agree with you, but I have to admit, it's very difficult for me to ignore the weight, when so many people know I'm trying to be healthier, and they see my workout updates on fb and I constantly get asked over and over again "So, how much weight have you lost?"

I did the Biggest Loser program at my university and it's based on points for participation and I came in 2nd. In 6 weeks, I didn't lose a single lb. I doubled my pacer score in the fitness assessment, doubled my pushups, and trippled my situps (50 situps to 150). I lost 3% body fat.

But at the end of the day, what was the question all of my friends and family were asking?

    "How much did you lose?"

It's hard to ignore it, when society just puts so much emphasis on the numbers :-\
