OK so after rupturing my achilles tendon last week I am looking for some exercise ideas to keep me active while being on crutches for the next 8 weeks (min) ![ ](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/cry.png)
One thing I would say ankle weights and zumba....not the best idea I ever had LOL

As the great philosopher Homer J Simpson would say, DOH! I had stress fractures for a while and had to turn to swimming. It will kick your butt for a workout if it will work for your situation. Not sure for an Achilles. Even if you can't kick you can just use your arms and get a good workout0

You could do punches. That will blast your heart rate up.0

swimming is the first thing I will be doing once the casts are off and trying to keep upper body strength up seeing as I am "bumming" up and down the stairs, trying to reverse body press when going up and down0
