Why am I gaining weight after working out?

Hi everyone, I just started a new lifestyle of eating healthy and trying to lose weight about a week ago. I noticed that I have actually gained 1 or 2 pounds over the course of the week. I run for 25 minutes a day and either bike for another 30 minutes or kickbox for another 25 or 30. I never eat more than 1200 calories a day. And this weight gain isn't right after, but about 1 or 2 days after. Could it be because I'm on my period and am retaining water weight? Thank you!
