Natural vs Processed Sugar

I am doing up a mock diary in order to plan my meals for the entire week ahead, and I keep going over my sugar limit. My daily goal is automaticall set at 31, but if I eat an apple most of that is used up (even though it is natural sugar vs processed nasty sugar). Is this number a little to low? If so what would be a rough estimate to stick with if my goal is to lose weight?

Also does the natural vs precessed/refined sugar matter that much or do you just have to look out for the nasty sugar??

    Most experienced MFPers will say that if you don't have a medical issue that requires sugar restriction (eg. diabetes), you can ignore the sugar category in your diary. Like you noticed, a couple servings of fruit can easily send you over the limit that MPF sets.
