I'm a soldier in the US Army and my day primarily consists of standing around our motor pool for countless hours during the week. Mondays we check the vehicles for issues and the rest of the week is doing various details around the motor pool or the company. I originally set my activity level to Active and now I've thought about it and read some forums and set my level to Lightly active. Is this a good idea. Because I understand that exercise is not included on our activity level and usually we do 1 hour of PT in the morning before work. Sometimes me and my team will have to move 84lb-155lb cases, basically there are a lot of weight variables. Should I just put those into my physical exercise and gain calories back that way? So the end verdict, Active or Lightly Active?

If you are standing around most of the time while you are at work, I would go with lightly active. Count your PT and other vigorous activities you may do as exercise and see how it goes. Good luck!

Interesting situation. What's the calorie difference between active and light activity? Maybe find that number in the middle and just enter that as your daily calorie goal manually?
