I'm definitely adding sugars and carbs, but what else? I know tracking calories isn't the best way to lose weight, so what else should I be examining in my food entries?

I also look at Fiber and protein because they are both essential to feeling full, so getting in to the habit of having enough of them is good!0

Weight loss comes down to the calories. Just make sure you get a good balance of protein, carbs, and fats. I keep track of those macros just to make sure I get in enough to fuel muscle growth and get the nutrients I need but it is still the calories you need to keep a close eye on. Changing your other macros won't help except help you eat less from feeling more full with more protein and healthy sources of carbs and fats. Ultimately Calories, protein, carbs, and fats. Keep the sugar low.0

I track macronutrients, fiber, and potassium -- the last two are because I tend to run low on them and tracking them is also a good way to make sure I eat more vegetables.0
