So as ya'll have seen I have been complaining of a very sore lower back, hip, glute injury for the last 2 weeks right....well yesterday I was still in some major pain, but I opted to go for a short walk with my friend and her baby.......testing the water so to speak. Well I have some new energy....I talked it over with my honey last night and I am going to go to Beauty School!!! Yay this makes me happy, anyway....being in such a great mood and feeling like our life is starting to look up, I drove outa my ghetto into a beautiful part of town today and walked through a rose garden around a pond and saw sweet baby ducks and geese and GOT OUT AND WALKED 4.5 miles!!!...Despite my pain in the *kitten* and now guess what....my pain in the *kitten* is not such a pain (for now...who knows about tonight)....had to grease up the old joints I guess......anyway that's all I got to say bout' that!

Good for you!! Way to get out there and get it done!!:drinker: I also have a lot of pain in my lower back and butt, and the one thing that I have found to be very good at keeping the shooting pains to a minimum while I walk, is to walk at a very slow pace for the first 5 minutes and then stop and STRETCH!!! Do your best to stretch those hamstrings out, it will help a lot!! After that, you can pick up the pace as your comfort level allows. HTH:flowerforyou:
  • I have pains in my feet and toes. I just have to tell it to shut up most of the time. :ohwell:

I have some lower back problems, herniated disks and degenerative disk disease. One thing I've found out is that walking helps, a lot! BUT walking at a incline is a real no go for me. (As in extended periods on the treadmill at an incline. I don't set it higher than 1%) It will make by back hurt faster than anything. Stretching helps a lot, but only the stretches that my physical therapist showed me. It's so easy to strain your back, so take care of yourself!
